This information relates to the University of Massachusetts Shotokan club as of 2007.

Training Updates:
January 30, 2008 (wednesday). Sessions 1 and 2 are open to Yellow Belts+.

February 1, 2008 (Friday). Session 1 open to Brown Belts+. Session 2 open to Yellow Belts+. Belt Ceremony planned during session 2.

February 4, 2008 (Monday). Welcome beginners, new members and returning members! Please arrive promptly at 7pm for the start of training. This orientation session will run for both hours.

Special Events:
February 9, 2008 (Saturday) 3pm - 6pm
. First Umass Invitational Special Training (Shiai). Events planned include special topics and demonstrations on kata application, bunkai, kumite and a special Iaido demonstration. This event is free and open to the public and is a great way to gain insight into Shotokan Karate and help support the Umass Shotokan Karate Club. The event will be held in Totman Hall on the Umass Campus in the Totman Basketball Court.

Tournaments:
February 16 & 17, 2008 (Saturday + Sunday) at William & Mary College. This special event includes multiple training clinics and a tournament.

March 1, 2008 (Saturday). Away tournament at Penn State.
